My Dad will be 81 years old on Aug 18th, he keeps pretty busy and very healthy by working in his garden everyday. This year his bean stocks are so huge he needs a ladder to pick his beans.
Happy Birthday Dad!

The Swamp Fox goes sailing by. This is another one of those moments that was simply meant to be! The day before we had sailed on the Swamp Fox and then a day later, quite by accident we saw her sailing by the Bass Harbor Lighthouse.

Another trip to Bass Harbor and the Sea Ketch restaurant at sunset led me to take this image. Food was good as usual and the views spectacular.

This was taken on our way back from a trip to Bass Harbor Maine Lighthouse which is a favorite stop of ours when we come to Bar Harbor. So pretty. We just love the ocean.

Sailing the Maine Coast
Yesterday we ran into old friends, Jan and Don Sestini, while walking around downtown Bar Harbor Maine and they invited us out for a day sail on their 40 foot sail boat. The day was perfect and the sailing trip was totally awesome. This is us heading out of the sound.

Monika and I took a little walk around downtown Bangor, ME yesterday and came across this really nice canal that seems to cut right through the city. Most of the shops were closed because it was Sunday but we did venture into a few places.
Update : This canal is actually called the Kenduskeag Stream… Thank you very much to Daryl for the correction.

On our trip to The Forks in Maine we found this little mixture of rushing white water. As much as we like kayaking and river rafting this looked a little too rough for us.
