Playing on Lake Winnipesaukee

One of the special things about living in New Hampshire is all of our beautiful lakes,  ponds and awesome ocean shoreline. This NH photo was taken at Ellacoya State Park campground, Ellacoya is very popular campground and is pretty hard to get into. Book early if you want to play on Lake Winnipesaukee and camp at Ellacoya.

Sweet Beach Roses

One thing I really love about the beach is the sweet smelling beach roses. Mix that with a little sun and sand and you have a perfect NH day and a most perfect NH photo oppportunity.

Where are all the people??

Skyrat

A lonely seagull and an empty beach

In New Hampshire and I’m sure in other New England States as well, we actually call them Sky Rats. I’ve always liked watching the Seagulls and have seen them swoop down and steal food right out of someone’s hand! Once a bold Seagull  took a woman’s keys right from the top of her beach bag and flew away. You can imagine what a scene that caused!  It’s unusual to see such an empty beach…usually there are people everywhere. This seagull sure had the place to it’s self.

A lonely rain drop…

a rain drop

Can you find some beauty in the rain?

We’ve had so much rain that it’s sometime hard to remember there is some beauty in the rain. I spotted this little rain drop just frozen in place… kind of pretty even if we’ve all had enough rain to last a life time.

A nest in the grill

A mother Dove nesting with her babies

This Dove was pretty protective of her young. The grill was roped off so that she would be secure. Found at Salisbury beach state reservation campground.

Laconia

A very pretty spot along Lake Opechee

I spent some time at the Lake Opechee Inn and Conference center in Laconia NH recently. I didn’t stay over night but thought the grounds were lovely and my lunch was simply wonderful. I love taking photos of NH…there is just so much to see and do.

Along the river bank

Walking along the Merrimack River

A cold but sunny day along the Merrimack River in Salisbury Ma. was perfect for a river walk. We were camping at the beach and took advantage of day. Living in NH is sweet because you can easily take advantage of what neighboring states offer!

I’m dreaming about some Southern NH sunshine…

After two weeks of rain I can’t help but day dream about an afternoon spent at the beach two weeks ago. Warm sand and some very sweet sun were in abundance at Salisbury Beach.

Newton NH unique stone work

Union Cemetery in Newton  NH is a small little cemetery found along New Boston Road. I love this old stone water spout and it thought it very unique and wonderful addition to my collection of NH photos. It’s amazing what you can find rambling about the back roads of NH.
